Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Inc
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program annually awards 50 scholarships of $20,000 each and 200 scholarships of $10,000 each to current or home school seniors. Selection is based upon character, personal merit and commitment. Merit is demonstrated through leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve and succeed. Visit website for details. Federal Work-Study (FWS)
Provides part-time employment while you are enrolled in school. Available to undergraduate and graduate students. Available to full-time and part-time students. Encourages community service work and work related to your course of study, whenever possible. Earn at least the current federal minimum wage: undergraduate students are paid by the hour. Money is earned while attending school and does not have to be repaid. For undergraduate and graduate students. Jobs can be on campus. Student must demonstrate financial need.

Fort Bend Junior Service League
New Beginnings Scholarship:
Criteria for Selection:
Applicant must be female who has had a break or interruption in her education
Applicant must be a resident of Fort Bend County
Applicant must be currently enrolled or accepted into two or four year college or university or an accredited vocational school which has been approved and accredited by the State of Texas. Transcript must be submitted with application. If accepted but have not begun work toward degree, applicant should submit letter of acceptance.
Applicant must have financial need, as interpreted by the Beneficiary Review Committee; two letters of recommendation (from non family members) and submit an essay

Fort Bend Junior Service League
Criteria for Selection:
Applicant must be female
Applicant must be a senior graduating from a Fort Bend County public or private high school.
Applicant must submit an essay.
Applicant must have at least a 2.5 grade point average.
Applicant must have completed at least 100 hours of service to the community or volunteer service performed through school activities, excluding any service performed as a requirement for school or church.
Applicant must submit a Supervisor Recommendation Form.
Applicant must submit a copy of a high school transcript.
Applicant must plan to attend an accredited two or four year college or university

George & Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation
Seventy $15,000 scholarships are awarded each year to be used over four years of undergraduate study. Selection is based on financial need and academic ability. Available to graduating seniors of high schools in the following counties: Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller. You must be a United States citizen to apply.
Request information in writing, identifying yourself as a high school senior and provide the name of your high school; or after August 15 of your senior year, download that year’s application from their web site.
Deadline for receipt of completed application and required attachments in one package is 4:00pm February 26 of the student’s senior year.

The George Foundation
The George Foundation has a long history of providing college scholarships to Fort Bend County residents seeking higher education. Devard & Devaughn Darling Scholarship Award
The As One Foundation if offering a scholarship to Fort Bend Independent School District high school seniors. The requirements are as follows:
- Be a Fort Bend Independent School District high school senior.
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale)
- Have a college/ university admissions/acceptance letter for the following school year.
The scholarship selection criteria:
- Academic achievement and critical-thinking ability
- Breadth of interests, activities, and other community involvement.
- Will to succeed and desire to help others

FBFN Foundation Scholarship
FBFN Foundation, the charitable arm of Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors, awards scholarships to students who graduate from a public high school in Fort Bend County, are U. S. citizens, and will attend a Fort Bend County campus of Wharton County Junior College, Houston Community College, or University of Houston the following school year as a full time student.
Applications are considered on the basis of need, academics, school and community activities, recommendations, and the student’s personal letter. All scholarships are contingent upon the qualifications of applicants and the availability of funds. Specific requirements of the application are available on the website.
The application form is available from high school counselors or on the website after February 1st. The deadline for completed applications, near the end of March, is stated in the application materials.
